Nicholas Bosworth

Nicholas is much in demand in the UK as an accompanist and repetiteur. His concert and recital work has included performances at various festivals (Wexford, Edinburgh Fringe, London Opera) and in diverse locations (the Royal Lodge at Windsor, the Presidential Palace in Malta, and the QE2 for its 50th birthday celebrations, accompanying Lesley Garrett). He has also been official accompanist in masterclasses for Thomas Hampson and Brigitte Fassbaender, the latter as part of the Wigmore Hall’s ‘Master Series’ recorded for BBC Radio 3. Nicholas has worked for many opera companies (including ENO, Scottish Opera, English Touring Opera, Opera Holland Park, Opera North, Grange Park Opera, Opera Ireland and Music Theatre Wales) and has also worked as musical director for Scottish Opera-go-round, the Wexford Festival, Opera Minima, Pavilion Opera, travelling with the latter to Japan, the USA, France and the Netherlands. He has performed at the harpsichord for Opera Factory, Grange Park and the Guildhall Strings, at the harmonium for Opera Rara in their Il Salotto series, and at the fortepiano in Rossini’s La Cenerentola for Garsington Opera. Nicholas has worked with Sir Mark Elder on a recording of Donizetti’s Maria di Rohan (for Opera Rara)
