First course

Enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz and canapés as some of Mozart’s greatest duets are enacted throughout the space and the singers mingle with the audience. This part of the evening will also feature a dance piece from the brilliant Michael Spenceley and arrangements of Mozart overtures by Barefoot Opera’s dazzling musicians Nicola Rose and Lucy Mulgan.

The main event

Following a sit-down supper, the principal event of the evening takes place -
Barefoot Opera’s brand new production,

La Serva Padrona, Pergolesi’s rarely performed comedic masterpiece.

The performers include Barefoot Opera’s scintillating Chiara Vinci and Oscar Castellino, in the roles of Serpina and Uberto - gifted young artists who come to us straight from main roles with Welsh National Opera - alongside the brilliant Rambert-trained Michael Spenceley, appearing as the down-trodden servant Vespone. They are accompanied by Barefoot Opera’s team players, the hugely gifted Nicola Rose, National Opera Studio alumnus and our MD for the evening, and the multi-talented Lucy Mulgan on double bass.

The evening will end in style with a relaxed dessert, when you can catch your breath
and have a drink.
