La Serva Padrona

Saturday 22nd October
St. Leonards Church

La Serva Padrona, Pergolesi's comic jewel that inspired all his contemporaries and defined the template for Mozart's saucy serving girls, is recreated with wit, physical theatre and play by Barefoot Opera's nascent fully professional company.

Come and relish Barefoot Opera's stylish remix of classic music-theatre, relax bistro style with your drink and find Figaro at your elbow, Susannah clearing your table, and a dancing waiter.

During the first part of our evening, you will experience fully staged (and danced!) Mozart duets and arias - appetisers to La Serva Padrona after the interval.

Taking place in the beautiful, atmospheric surroundings of St. Leonards, the 18th century church at the top of Shoreditch High St.

The performers:

Chiara Vinci, Lucy Mulgan, Nicola Rose, Oscar Castellino, Michael Spenceley
Director: Jenny Miller
MD: Nicola Rose
